PROTOTYPE. 104 of these locomotives were built between 1914 & 1921. They were the North British Railways largest 0-6-0 tender loco. The last of the class being withdrawn in 1966. They were employed on heavy freight work but in the summer they often had a day out to the sea side hauling excursion passenger trains. KIT. The body is mainly brass with a nickel silver chassis. A nice level of detail including cab interior is provided. The instructions are very comprehensive and consist of the original Majestic exploded drawings complemented by a written text describing step by step how I built a sample of the kit. |
